SVP Foodbank Collection

Each year our Chaplain co-ordinates the SVP Foodbank Collection from school for the Parish of St. Richard in Skelmersdale. The SVP group helps families and individuals in need and runs a food bank in the town for those who might otherwise struggle to buy food or afford other household basics.

Senior Citizens' Christmas Party

The Year 11 Health & Social Care group host the Pensioners’ Christmas Party and are delighted to meet our guests from the local Parish community. Our guests are entertained by student musicians and are served food as well as have time to chat with our young people.

Care Gift Packages

The Year 10 Health & Social Care group put together donations from our generous school community to make over 85 care package gifts. A few students help to deliver them to Evenwood Court & Aaron Crest Care Home along with the Christmas cards for residents and thank you letters to care workers written by our students in Years 7-10 during Curriculum for Life.

Paper Cup Homeless Project

Each year just before Christmas, our students raise money for the Paper Cup Project. Paper Cup is a local Liverpool charity which supports local rough sleepers & homeless people. The charity provides food, clothing, support and signposts the homeless towards services that can help them. It also works hard to tackle the stigma around homelessness and to give the homeless a voice.
