Remote Learning
In the event of a partial or full closure, the primary vehicle for remote teaching and learning will be Microsoft Teams and ClassCharts. Students and staff have accounts for both platforms.
Lessons will be posted online so that we can ensure that students can follow a curriculum that is as close as possible to that which they would be following in school. It also allows for teachers and students to interact with one another.
Students should follow their normal timetable, logging onto the relevant class Team at the same time as they would normally have a lesson in school.
Students should engage fully in learning opportunities, and behave in a way whereby they do not prevent others from learning
Where possible, we will work alongside families to ensure that all students have access to the appropriate technology to engage with online learning.
Where this is necessary, please let your child’s Learning Manager know so we can look at how to best support you.
Provision for Students with SEND
During a closure, some pupils with SEND may not be able to access remote education without adult support. Schools will work collaboratively with families and put arrangements in place that allow pupils with SEND to access remote education successfully.
Other Online Learning
In addition to the full curriculum in school, students can access the following platforms from home:
- Bedrock Literacy
- Sparx Reading
- Sparx Maths
